Inside The Kerry Hotel

The Kerry Hotel is a five-star hotel located on the shoreline of the beautiful Hung Hom Bay. The Kerry Hotel opened on April 28, 2017 and it was the first hotel to open on the Kowloon side since 1995. This is the fourth property from the luxury hotel group Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. The hotel was also designed by renowned and award winning architect and interior designer, Andre Fu.

The Kerry Hotel has 16-storeys and 546 rooms with 60-percent of the guestrooms featuring panoramic views of the spectacular Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island skyline, as do all five of their restaurants and bars, something that makes the Kerry Hotel extra special. Rooms generally go for around $2000 HKD a night depending on the time of year. Additionally, guests are also a walk away from popular shopping areas such as Tsim Sha Tsui East and other attractions like the Garden of Stars, the Hong Kong Science and History museums.

The Kerry Hotel also boasts in having Hong Kong’s largest pillar-less hotel ballroom and 17 beautifully appointed event spaces making it a great place to plan a business meeting or conference, wedding or special event. The Grand Ballroom is 1,756 square meters in size and can accommodate over 1000 guests.

Despite its urban location, the Kerry hotel has lush outdoor spaces that resembles a garden with its topiary and extraordinary view of the Victoria Harbour. Their five bars and restaurants are also intertwined with these spaces.

The outdoor spaces are only a fraction of what this prestigious hotel has to offer its guests. Like the outdoor hotel infinity pool that also overlooks the Victoria Harbour and skyline that is heated during the winter months. Or the fitness area, Base Camp Kerry Sports, that is open 24/7 and offers a variety of fitness equipment as well as a spa, sauna, and jacuzzi.

The hotel gallery is also unique as it mimics a contemporary art gallery. The gallery houses over 1000 different art pieces from rising star artists, original masterpieces by renowned artists, creative installations, and specially commissioned pieces in a variety of mediums.

The Kerry Hotel is a short walk away from the Whampoa MTR station. To get to the hotel from the Whampoa station, take exit C2 and go down Shung King street through the intersection and lights. Turn left on to Hung Luen Road and the hotel can then be found on the right hand side. The hotel is also not far from the Hung Hom MTR station and the Hung Hom ferry pier.

With the Airport Express MTR line, guests can reach the hotel in around 30 minutes from the airport. Taxi or car rides can also be expected to take about 30 minutes from the airport. Additionally, The Kerry Hotel offers a shuttle bus service (K1) from the airport as well as a range of luxury cars and limousines for hire.
